Crafted by artisan members of our collective, the Small Bamboo Peace Pipe is made primarily by hand using natural and reclaimed materials.
The bowl combines reclaimed horn with a coconut seed, secured with natural resin and clay. Coconut is used at the upper portion of the bowl for its natural resistance to heat, while a hollow bamboo stem forms the body of the pipe. A second coconut seed detail helps narrow and finish the smoking end.
Natural resin and clay are then shaped around the structure to create the pipe’s animal totem form. The bamboo stem is further ornamented with feathers, gemstones, wrapped textile or fur-like accents, and other hand-applied details.
This model is available in 12 animal totem variants. Because each piece is individually formed and decorated, the pipe you receive may vary in color, carving, ornamentation, feather placement, and finishing from the examples shown. These variations are part of the handmade character of the work.
Care
Allow the pipe to cool completely after use before gently removing any remaining material from the bowl. Clear the airway with a soft pipe cleaner or narrow cleaning tool.
Avoid soaking the pipe or exposing it to prolonged moisture, excessive heat, or direct sunlight. Wipe the exterior with a clean, dry cloth and take particular care around the resin, feathers, gemstones, horn, and decorative elements. Store fully dry in a protective pouch or case.
