Crafted by artisan members of our collective in Northern Peru, each Royal Shipibo Tepi is individually shaped, painted, and finished by hand.

The central section is made from sustainably sourced lamb bone reclaimed as a by-product of food use. Its surface carries hand-painted icaro patterns connected with the visions of the spirit vine and the songs held within Shipibo culture.

Ayahuasca vine is incorporated into the giver’s end, while the applicator is offered in four material variations:

Chonta Wood has a dense structure, dark coloring, and closely patterned grain.

Palo Sangre carries warm red tones and an expressive natural grain.

Palo Santo has a lighter golden tone and naturally aromatic character.

Bone brings a pale, organic surface with natural tonal variation.

Because the bone, wood, vine, and painted lines are all individually formed, each Royal Shipibo Tepi will vary slightly in color, grain, pattern placement, and finishing.

Care

Gently clear the airway before and after each use by blowing through the channel away from your face. Store the tepi in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, heat, or direct sunlight.

Wipe the exterior gently with a clean, dry cloth. Do not soak the piece or use chemical cleaners. Protect the hand-painted bone, Ayahuasca vine, and wooden sections from impacts and abrasion. Keep it in a protective pouch during travel or storage.
