Shawadawa Hapé is a very strong and energizing forest blend made by Chief Adeildo Shawakaya Shawadawa of the Shawadawa people in Acre, Brazil. Prepared with Moe Nicotiana rustica, Tsunu bark ash, Kapayuba ash, and the ancestral Kapayuba plant, this distinctive Hapé carries a deeply cleansing and clarifying character.

Made by the Shawadawa people of Acre in the Brazilian Amazon, this Hapé is prepared by Chief Adeildo Shawakaya Shawadawa of the Juruá River region near Mâncio Lima and Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brazil. He is 47 years old with 30 years of experience, carrying decades of knowledge in the preparation of traditional Shawadawa forest medicines.

Historically referred to by outsiders as the Arara, the people call themselves Shawadawa. Like many Indigenous peoples of Acre, they endured raids, displacement, exploitation, and cultural suppression during the expansion of the rubber extraction system. In recent generations, the Shawadawa have worked to revitalize their language and traditions while defending their territorial rights.

Tsunu bark ash: A respected Amazonian tree ash traditionally worked with for grounding, clarity, energetic purification, and balance.

Kapayuba ash: Brings the distinctive strength of Kapayuba into the preparation, contributing to its deeply cleansing, energizing, and purgative character.

Kapayuba: An ancestral plant traditionally worked with by the Shawadawa people. Within their ethnobotanical tradition, Kapayuba has been used in relation to headaches, flu-like discomfort, sleeplessness, and fatigue.
