This unique hapé is a true specialty of ours, one that we hold in the highest regard, thanks to the wisdom passed down from our revered teachers, the Matsés People. We offer it with great integrity, honoring its rare and profound essence.

The Matsés tribe is where our founder, Su-Ata, spent extensive time, gaining his knowledge and creating much of his written work about hapé in the Peruvian Amazon, near the Loreto region along the Galvez River.

This sacred hapé blend is rare and especially unique to us, as it is exclusively crafted by our designated makers within the family lineage of the Huni Kuin People. We are grateful to be offering this unique hapé blend.

Please note that even if someone encounters a Nunu hapé with the same name elsewhere, it will not be the same as our Nunu blend.

Made from toasted and crushed Amazonian base leaf combined with the bark of the macambo tree—part of the cacao family—Nunu is a profound heart-centering and restorative blend. The macambo itself brings a restorative experience for the heart and mind, guiding you into a deeply restorative space through gratitude.

As it journeys around your awareness, it eases tension and awakens the heart and lower centers of vitality, taking you on a 15- to 20-minute experience of profound meditative reflection.

The color of Nunu may vary, often appearing lighter, depending on how the Amazonian base leaf is fermented before it is ground into powder. The fermentation process greatly influences the color of any hapé.

Nunu Hapé is deeply infused with feminine essence, invoking the spirit of both Mother Earth and the nurturing feminine. It channels the power of unconditional love and creates a deeper connection within. This sacred hapé tradition is deeply restorative, carrying the earth’s essence through the burnt shells and delicate gelatinous coating of the macambo beans.

It draws you closer to the root of your being: this maternal force cradles you, offering guidance, nurturing, and support. The macambo beans themselves are a nourishing food known for their rich nutrients, valued for their natural vitality and nourishment.

This hapé is deeply calming, allowing you to strengthen your connection to your vessel and, ultimately, to your inner self. We recommend using it, as always, with intention and prayer. Take a moment to reflect on your vulnerabilities and strengths, entering a space of grace and gratitude. One deep breath to salute Father Sky, another to honor Mother Earth, and a third to center yourself in your heart.

Hold your breath briefly and offer the blend gently through the breath toward the upper passage.

Aho, Mitakuye Oyasin! (A Lakota phrase meaning “All my relations,” signifying unity and harmony with all life forms.)
