Crafted by artisan members of our collective in Northern Peru, each tepi combines carved bamboo channels with a wooden receiving stem and detailed seed-bead work assembled by hand.

A natural Tiger’s Eye stone is set near the receiving end and is traditionally associated with steadiness, protection, strength, and confidence. The central beadwork varies in color and pattern, giving every applicator its own character.

This tepi is available in two wood variants:

Chonta Wood is a dense Amazonian hardwood recognized by its dark coloring, strength, and closely patterned grain.

Palo Sangre carries warm red tones and a naturally expressive grain that gives the piece its vibrant presence.

Because the bamboo, wood, gemstone, and beadwork are naturally varied and individually assembled, differences in color, grain, pattern, and finishing are expected.

Care

Gently clear both airways before and after each use by blowing through the channels away from your face. Store the tepi in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. Protect the bamboo channels, beadwork, and Tiger’s Eye accent from impacts, abrasion, and snagging. Wipe the exterior with a clean, dry cloth and keep it in a protective pouch during travel or storage.
