The Bird Kuripe is a wooden self-applicator inspired by the bird, a symbol of vision, guidance, and connection across many Indigenous traditions of the Andes and Amazon. Available in four carefully selected hardwoods and finished with a chrysocolla gemstone, it offers smooth, balanced airflow for comfortable ceremonial practice.

Choose from Small, Medium, or Large nostril gauge sizes to find the fit that feels most comfortable for your practice.

Sizing Note: Kuripe sizes refer to the diameter of the nostril opening, not the overall length of the applicator. Overall length may vary slightly by design. If you need a longer or shorter applicator, we're happy to help you find the right fit.

Created by artisan members of our collective in Northern Peru, the Bird Kuripe is carved from carefully selected hardwoods chosen for their natural beauty, durability, and distinctive character. Available in Chonta, Palo Santo, Palo Sangre (Amazonian Redwood), and Palo Rosa (Rosewood), each wood brings its own unique grain and appearance while preserving the same balanced design.

Inspired by the enduring symbolism of birds throughout many Indigenous cultures, the Bird Kuripe reflects themes of vision, awareness, and connection. Each piece is finished with natural clay resin and accented with a polished chrysocolla gemstone, while the carefully carved airway provides smooth, consistent airflow for comfortable ceremonial practice.

As every Bird Kuripe is handcrafted, variations in wood grain, color, carving, and gemstone are natural and make each piece one of a kind.

Care

To maintain your kuripe, gently clear the airway before and after each use by blowing through the channel away from your face. Store it in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to help preserve the natural wood and clay resin.
