Hapé/Rapé Applicators

A proper applicator is essential for the safe and intentional use of Hapé.
The Kuripe, made for self-application, and the Tepi, used to serve another, are traditional tools designed to deliver the medicine with precision, respect, and proper alignment.

Each shape, angle, and channel has purpose: guiding the stream of breath safely to the upper bridge of the nose, where the medicine is meant to be received and absorbed. This ensures clarity, protection, and clean delivery without allowing ash particles to enter the lungs.

Every applicator in this collection is handcrafted by our two Indigenous collectives in Peru using natural and sacred materials such as bamboo, bone, stones, seeds, beads, and sustainably gathered woods. Each piece carries cultural symbology, ancestral knowledge, and prayer from the artisan who shaped it.

These tools are not simply functional: they honor the spirit of reciprocity between the maker, the forest, the medicine, and the receiver. They are companions in ceremony, allies in grounding, and extensions of lineage.
