The beautiful maraca wingo is handmade by our Shipibo collective in Peru using natural Amazonian gourd. It produces a crisp, unique sound that brings transcendence and depth to ceremony, music, and sacred space with the spirits of the forest.

Each Maraca Wingo is handcrafted from a natural gourd, or wingo, and paired with a handle carved from ayahuasca vine; a sacred wood symbolizing connection and vision. The handle is wrapped with natural black thread, upon which a chrysocolla gemstone rests, radiating harmony and clarity.

Above it, a tiger’s eye stone gathers that clarity and transforms it into grounded balance, while the crystal point at the crown ignites higher awareness and spiritual connection. The shaker itself is colorfully hand-painted with varying animal totems, each representing a unique energetic signature from the rainforest.

A carved gourd variant is also available, featuring intricate detailing that highlights the natural form and texture of the wingo, as well as an adornment above and below of an array of (domestic) bird feathers from Peru.
